WRITE OFF OBSOLETE ITEMS
It is not necessary to advertise equipment that is considered
obsolete.
Refer the the Information Technology Support website to see
which items are considered obsolete. Go to the following link and click on
Obsolete List: http://supportweb/old/hardware.htm
1. Complete an MIS-048 (Acquisition/Disposition) form for
the obsolete equipment.
All MIS-048 forms must be signed by the custodian of the inventory (Principal or
District Department Administrator).
2. In lieu of writing each bar code and description on the
MIS-048, you may attach pages from your inventory printout to the MIS-048.
Simply highlight the items to be written off.
Every
page with a highlighted item must be initialed by the custodian of the inventory
(Principal or District Department Administrator).
3. Be sure the MIS-048 is signed by the inventory
custodian and forward to Property and Records.
4. Your MIS-048 will be promptly processed and items to be
written off will be included in the soonest possible School Board Agenda.
5. You will be notified by e-mail when the items have been
approved for disposal.
Items listed on District inventory must
be held until School Board permission is granted for disposal!!
